This house made hosting a large group feel easy and special. The perfect house for a special occasion.
Positive: The property was beautifully kept and presented. It was perfect for our weekend.
Negative: The lighting in the big living room was not very homely and cosy. It could have created more atmosphere.

Positive: House is spacious and with lots of home from home accessories. Beds are comfortable and all round good for a family group. Location is beautiful with the duck pond at the window.
Negative: Even though the house is equipped with sufficient beds to accommodate at least 4 couples and 3 others (7 double beds) the hot water availability means you have to be conscious of use to hopefully get enough for showers and other hot water requirements in the morning, and at the cost per night the least you would expect is hot water enough to shower for everyone.
Poor routine maintenance, for example, 1st floor banister rail is not safe, security bolts missing parts on external door, damaged furniture.
Kitchen utensils and cookware dirty with previous guests food still present.
Could be a great place if attention to detail was taken.

Fabulous time away with family - Just what was needed to start the New Year with a bang.
Positive: The views and location - all excellent.
House keeping and early check in - brilliant
Plenty of space - great
All facilities as described
Negative: The house was extremally cold, in fact more than cold. Took 2 days to warm the house through. We rang and the house keeper came out to check the heating, but still took 2 days to warm through. Due to this we spent most of the time in the kitchen.
Dirty bin in one of the bathrooms - full of sanitary wear - not ours - very disappointing.
One of the TVs didn't work - housekeeper swapped this over and we had to log in to out Netflix account or no TV to watch.

A perfect luxury house for a large group to stay and just a few miles from York
Positive: The house is beautiful. Spacious and comfortable and in a lovely spot just in front of the duck pond. It was the perfect size for our large family group.
Negative: There was nothing to dislike about the house. The pub in the village has closed down and the garden centre/cafe has limited opening hours so it’s worth taking your own basic supplies.

Great property in all respects and are a memorable big birthday weekend!
Positive: Great location and just an amazing property. It had everything we needed and we were a big group with a large range!
Negative: Nothing but some fans may be useful for the summer
